A blue 1997 Subaru Legacy with only 202,000 miles on it, a couple rust spots in the usual places, a nice, clean interior, a good engine -- just perfect for someone who has the time and money to spend on getting her back into shape. That someone, unfortunately, is not me. So she's going on Craigslist this month, and we'll see what happens. I really hope someone buys her who will turn her into something wonderful. She's a great car! UPDATE: She was purchased by a mechanic over in eastern Illinois, who plans on taking the best parts of her and using them to keep two other Subarus running. Probably just as well. There's some significant rust damage that just can't be fixed without tearing her all apart, and no one has the time or money for that kind of work. Oh, well. Winter Wheels ... Gone!

  These snow tires have been sitting in my garage now for several years now, since the last Subaru had to endure winter driving, back when Mary was driving the old blue one to school. How long has it been? Three years? Four? I've lost count. But it was high-time the old tires were making themselves useful again, so I put them up on Craigslist for a reasonable price, and, a week later, they were gone. Found a nice, young family in a nice, new Subaru that needed 'em to get through the snowy winter. Now there's just a tad more space in the garage. And I miss my Subarus.
